About

Visti is the result of a Sunday of mead-fueled berzerker coding by Leo Sutic. Mostly I just wanted to find Husbystenen (U74). The site is named after Visäte, who carved it and signed his name as "uisti risti" or "Uisti carved".

I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

The text around the logo is the last half of the 157th stanza of Hávamál "runified" the same way as the transcriptions on this site:

svá ek ríst ok í rúnum fák,
at sá gengr gumi
ok mælir við mik

I can so carve and colour the runes,
that the man walks
And talks with me
